Whole of India was supporting Pakistan – Shoaib Akhtar

After Pakistan’s second successive win in the ICC T20 World Cup, former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar said that India was praying for the Men in Green and Pakistan’s gesture of winning the game is exactly what good neighbours do. He added that they want India to qualify for the finale and face Pakistan.

“Today, for a change, the whole of India was behind Pakistan to win the match vs New Zealand. So, we saved you. This is what good Neighbors do. Remember this. We want you to make it to the Finals. And we are ready to take on you in the finals,” he said in a YouTube video uploaded on his channel.

Notably, India and Pakistan have met in a T20 World Cup final in 2007 and the MS Dhoni-led team defeated their arch-rivals. India will face New Zealand in the next match of the global event. India have played New Zealand in 14 matches of ICC events, winning only 3.
