We should not pinpoint any bowler- Hardik Pandya slams journalist for naming this Indian star as the reason behind the loss

Australia registered their highest T20I run chase against India as the Kangaroos stunned the Men in Blue in the first T20I.

The Indian side heavily missed Jasprit Bumrah as the bowlers failed to defend 208. Bhuvneshwar Kumar again leaked runs in the penultimate over of the match.

Bhuvi conceded 52 runs, while Harshal Patel, who marked his first match after injury, gave away 49 runs in the spell.

The match was in balance till the 16th over as the visitors required 55 to win in the last four overs. But Harshal Patel and Bhuvi gave away 38 runs in two overs.

India’s star performer Hardik Pandya was asked whether Harshal Patel’s over was the match’s turning point. Hardik got angry and said that one should not pinpoint any bowler.

“Sir, we should not pinpoint any bowler as everyone is giving their best, and there are still two matches left in the series.”

He then asked the journalist about the turning point in the match. “Sir, you should tell me about the turning point in the match. I do not know. If we knew, we would have stopped them in the field.”

Hardik concluded by being honest and said that the credit must go to Australian batters for their batting as there was no dew on the field.
