We should have played the 1st game on my birthday – Virat Kohli after winning the toss

Virat Kohli finally won a toss in international cricket. The occasion came on his 33rd birthday as he broke a six-toss losing streak in T20Is.

“We are going to bowl first. Dew is going to be a big factor. Try and restrict them and chase it down convincingly if the situation allows us to. Winning my first toss on my birthday, probably we should have played the first game on my birthday (smiles),” Kohli said with a smile.

India must win big to keep alive its slim hopes of reaching the semifinals. It has one win in three group matches.

Legspinner Varun Chakravarthy, who has not taken a wicket in two group matches, is back for Shardul Thakur.

Scotland, already out of semifinals contention, picked the same side which lost to New Zealand by 16 runs on Wednesday.
