In the ninth over of the inning, Quinton de Kock decided to go after Andre Russell. He smashed the first ball to the boundary and went for another one. The ball was pitched up and the left-handed batsman played a cracking straight drive, which almost hit the skipper at the non-striker’s end.

While Rohit scored 33, de Kock hit 55 runs from 42 balls. The defending champions managed to score 155 for 6 from the allotted 20 overs.
