Watch – Namibia’s Ruben Trumpelmann takes 3 wickets in first over, sets new world record

Namibian fast bowler Ruben Trumpelmann set a new record in T20 international cricket on Wednesday when he took 3 wickets in the first over of the match against Scotland in the ICC T20 World Cup in Abu Dhabi. The 23-year old spinner dismissed George Munsey, Calum MacLeod and skipper Richie Berrington to leave Scotland tottering at 2 runs for 3 wickets.

He is the first bowler in T20I history to take 3 wickets in the opening over of an innings. Scotland scored 109 for 8 in 20 overs at the Zyed international Stadium.

He finished with figures of 3 for 17 from his 4 overs.
