Watch – Jimmy Neesham’s save of the match to deny Hardik Pandya a certain six
New Zealand all-rounder Jimmy Neesham put in an acrobatic effort at the backward square leg boundary to save a certain six in the 14th over of the Indian innings. The right-handed batter pulled a short delivery from Ish Sodhi which headed for a six.
However, the New Zealand all-rounder timed his jump to perfection and managed to drag the ball inside, saving five runs as Indian players ran just the one.
“REJECTED! Jimmy Neesham stretches his arm out to deny Hardik Pandya the maximum,” ICC wrote, sharing the video.
Hardik scored 23 off 23 balls in the match against the Kiwis.
Trent Boult started pretty well and took Ishan Kishan’s wicket. The Indian batters kept losing their wickets and there was no comeback for the Men in Blue. Boult took three wickets while Ish Sodhi managed to add two scalps to his tally
