Watch – Chris Gayle predicts leading run-scorer in ICC T20 World Cup ( Hint – He is from Pakistan)

Former West Indies skipper Chris Gayle has predicted the leading run-scorer in the ICC T20 World Cup. “So much talent in this T20 World Cup, I have no idea. Maybe, Babar Azam.”

When asked which team will make it to the finale, he said, “Ah! that’s a tricky one! But apart from West Indies right? I’d say New Zealand. They play good team cricket. They just know how to always pull it together.”

He also revealed the name of the leading wicket-taker at the T20 WC 2021. “I think it’s going to be a spinner. I don’t know which spinner but if Afghanistan could make it to the final, I’d say Rashid Khan. But this is T20 cricket. Anything is possible here,” said the West Indian stalwart in a cheerful manner.

Meanwhile, West Indies have looked clueless in the ongoing global event in the ICC. They lost the opening game against England after scoring just 55 runs. Even Chris Gayle has lost his firepower. He no more opens the innings for his team and is on the last legs of his career.

He played for Punjab Kings in the last edition of the Indian Premier League. Babar Azam scored an unbeaten 68 against India in the first match of the campaign.
