Washington Sundar ruled out of IPL 2021

Washington Sundar has been ruled out of the UAE leg of the IPL 2021 due to a finger injury. Akash Deep, the Bengal medium-pacer, has been named as his replacement.

He was hit by Mohammed Siraj’s delivery ahead of the five-match Test series in England and the X-Ray confirmed a fracture on his finger. The all-rounder is associated with the Royal Challengers Bangalore since the start of the 2018 season.

“Royal Challengers Bangalore’s all-rounder Washington Sundar has been ruled out of the remainder of the IPL 2021 due to a finger injury. Akash Deep, a state cricketer from Bengal and net bowler with the franchise has been named as a replacement,” RCB said in a release.
