Wants to win the IPL title for Virat Kohli – RCB player
RCB’s Srikar Bharat wants the win the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League for Virat Kohli. The RCB skipper will be stepping down from his post after IPL 2021. Bharat was the star of the match when his franchise defeated Delhi Capitals in their last league match on October 8.
He scored an unbeaten 78 off 52 balls to lead his team to a stunning victory on the last ball of the match. Bharat called Kohli a ‘friendly captain’ and stated that winning the IPL title for RCB would be a perfect gift for the departing skipper.
“Yes, definitely winning the cup and giving Virat Bhai the IPL title will be cherry on the cake, but if you ask me, playing with Virat Bhai is a very big feeling,” said Bharat in a virtual presser as quoted by India Today.
Bharat added Virat encourages youngsters and works really hard. He is always there for his teammates to guide and he feels blessed to have a captain like him.
“Virat loves youngsters, he encourages youngsters. He works incredibly hard like any other young player in RCB. He is a thorough professional and playing with him gives an element of confidence to us. He is a very friendly guy, he is always there, he is always ready to guide us. I am blessed to be around him,” he added.
