Virat Kohli-led team is one of the greatest in history of cricket – Ravi Shastri

Ravi Shastri, the departing head coach of Team India, sounded satisfied with what the squad achieved during his tenure. According to him, the team led by Virat Kohli is one of the greatest in the history of international cricket.

For him, beating Australia in Australia on two occasions was the best moment of his career. He also spoke about the winning legacy in the shortest formats of the game.

“I am not only talking about the Indian cricket but the current team is one of the best in the history of cricket. The boys defeated Australia in Australia in red-ball cricket, they were leading the Test series in England as well,” he said.

“When it comes to white-ball cricket, we won in West Indies, Sri Lanka, South Africa, New Zealand, England and Australia. What else do you want from a team? The players have been fabulous and they deserve all the credit for living up to challenges thrown at them in all conditions,” he added.

The ongoing match between India and Namibia in the ICC T20 World Cup is Shastri’s last game as India’s coach.
