Virat Kohli, KL Rahul slip in rankings, Babar likely to become number one

Babar Azam is closing in on the top spot of ICC Men’s T20I Rankings for batters after his exceptional batting performance against India. He scored an unbeaten 68 runs in Dubai. The right-handed batter is in the second spot and is just 11 points behind number one batter Dawid Malan. Meanwhile, India captain Virat Kohli has slipped from the 4th to the 5th spot while KL Rahul has slipped two spots to 8th in the rankings for the shortest format of the game.

Pakistan opener Mohammad Rizwan has dropped one position and is now 4th in the table. It is a bit surprising considering his score unbeaten 79 and 33 against India and New Zealand respectively. He was third last week.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh star Shakib Al Hasan has regained the top spot in the ICC T20I all-rounder’s ratings. Shakib surpassed Mohammad Nabi to reclaim the top spot.
