Rohit Sharma, who missed the first game of the second leg, scripted another record in the Indian Premier League. The right-handed batsman became the first batter to complete 1000 runs against a team in the cash-rich league. He achieved the landmark against Kolkata Knight Riders at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

He needed 18 runs before the game to get the feat. Rohit went after the bowlers and played some good strokes. He crossed the 18-run mark in the fifth over of the innings.

He has hit 50 sixes against the Knight Riders. The Hitman scored 33 before he was dismissed by Sunil Narine.

Rohit holds the top spot in the list of batters scoring the most runs against an IPL rival. The second and third spots are occupied by David Warner. While the left-handed batter has scored 943 runs against Punjab Kings, he has accumulated 915 runs against KKR so far. Virat Kohli holds the fourth and fifth spots in the table.
