Speaking English was challenging in early stages of my career – Virender Sehwag
BCCI president Sourav Ganguly and former India opening batsman Virender Sehwag recently came on the famous quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati, hosted by popular Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan. The duo participated in the show for the noble cause and the amount they won will be used for the benefit of the poor masses.
There was one question related to Tennis star Naomi Osaka, who pulled out of the French Open due to mental health issues. The trio started discussing about mental health. Ganguly spoke about the pressure on cricketers and how living in bio-bubbles is not easy.
The former India skipper gave the example of Ben Stokes, who pulled of future cricket assignments citing mental health issues.
Sehwag shared that speaking English was challenging during his early days with the national team and he had even requested his first interview to be conducted in Hindi by Ravi Shastri.
