Sir Ravindra Jadeja praises himself, says he is one of the best fielders in the world
Without any doubt, Ravindra Jadeja is one of the best fielders in the world. Be it shorter formats or Test cricket, he has taken stunning catches across the globe.
Jadeja, who is a part of India’s squad for the ongoing five-match Test series against England, recently spoke about his fielding and also credit his skipper for raising the standards of the fielding.
“Yes, I am one of the best fielders in the world. But I don’t take anything for granted, I keep working on my game and my fitness. I do a lot of shoulder exercises and running for that, for instance. That’s how I maintain my fitness, which helps me on the field,” Jadeja told TimesofIndia.com.
“Virat definitely has been very enthusiastic, proactive, and fit. He believes a lot in fitness as well, so everyone has to raise their fitness standards. Everyone in the team has been working on their fitness, that’s why you can see the difference in the field now,” the 32-year-old said.
Apart from international cricket, he is renowned for his fielding in the Indian Premier League. He plays for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the league, which is set to resume in September in the UAE. The IPL 2021 was suspended following the emergence of COVID-19 cases within the franchise. However, after taking everything into account, the BCCI decided to shift the remaining matches to the UAE.
