Shahid Afridi comes out in support of Taliban, says they are allowing women to work
Former Pakistan cricket team captain Shahid Afridi has spoken in favour of the Taliban, who seized control over Afghanistan. According to Afridi, Taliban militants have come with a very positive mindset and they are also allowing women to work.
In a video shared by Pakistani journalist Naila Inayat, he told reporters: “They’re allowing ladies to work in various fields including politics.”
He further spoke about the Taliban’s love for the game of cricket. Meanwhile, Rashid Khan, the skipper of the Afghanistan team is worried about his family, who is still in the country. The star cricketer, who is taking part in the T20 competition in the UK, has time and again tweeted about the ongoing problems in Afghanistan.
