Sarfaraz Ahmed becomes Pakistan’s most successful captain in T20s
Former Pakistan skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed has become the most successful Pakistan captain in the history of T20 cricket. He achieved the milestone as Sindh defeated Northern by three wickets in the ongoing National T20 Cup 2021. This was Sarfaraz’s 86th win in T20s as a captain and he surpassed Shoaib Malik’s tally of 85 triumphs.
Sindh have won four out of six matches in the ongoing competition and are leading the points table at the moment. Sarfaraz, who made his T20 debut in 2006, has come a long way in his career.
Under his able leadership, Pakistan won 11 consecutive T20I series, which is a world record to date.
Meanwhile, his tally of 140 matches as a captain in T20s is also the most by a Pakistan cricketer. While Misbah-ul-Haq holds the third position with 61 wins, Mohammad Hafeez (48) is fourth in the list. The top-five list is completed by Shahid Afridi (46).
