Salman Butt slams MS Dhoni for promoting himself ahead of Ravindra Jadeja

MS Dhoni promoted himself ahead of Ravindra Jadeja in the batting line-up in the match between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Delhi Capitals (DC). Former Pakistan skipper slammed the veteran for his decision as it doesn’t make any sense. Butt further added that Jadeja is hitting the ball well, and wants the left-handed batter to face more deliveries with the franchise qualifying for the playoffs.

“Why is MS Dhoni coming before Ravindra Jadeja, who is batting so well? Bravo, Jadeja both are hitting so well. Dhoni will be a mentor, will not play for India, so it doesn’t make any sense of him coming before Jadeja.

You are now into the playoffs, why don’t you give him more practice. It’s beyond comprehension, I don’t know what he is thinking and why he is doing this,” said Salman Butt on his YouTube channel.

MSD has struggled in the ongoing edition of the league. He has scored 96 runs at an average of 13.71 On the other hand, Ravindra Jadeja has been in sublime form with the bat.

He has accumulated 227 runs in the 2021 IPL season at an average of 75.67 and a strike rate of 145.51.
