Ruturaj Gaikwad becomes the youngest Orange Cup winner in history of IPL

Chennai Super Kings opener Ruturaj Gaikwad became the youngest player in the history of the Indian Premier League to win the Orange Cup during the ongoing finale against Kolkata Knight Riders. He needed 24 runs to surpass KL Rahul to claim the Orange Cap before the match.

He was impressive during his stay and accumulated 32 runs off 27 balls before his dismissal. He hit 3 fours and a six in his innings.

Since the IPL 2021 has resumed in the UAE, Gaikwad has scored 88, 38, 40, 45 and 101. He was undone easily in the next two games, scoring 12 and 13 runs but bounced back with a score of 70 against Delhi Capitals in Qualifier 1 to lead CSK to the finale of the league.
