India had a perfect game against Afghanistan. The high-profile batting line-up finally scored runs and there was no looking back for the team. Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul shared a partnership of 140 runs. Rahul lauded his opening partner for his display.

“Rohit Sharma is a world-class batsman, he knows how it is done,” he said. While Rohit scored 74 runs off 47 balls, Rahul hit 69 runs off 48 balls. Even Hardik Pandya (35 not out) and Rishabh Pant (27 not out) contributed to a total of 210 in 20 overs.

Earlier, Mohammad Nabi won the toss and elected to bowl first. The move backfired as Indian batters went after the bowlers from the first over of the innings. This is the highest team total in the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup in the UAE.
