Ravi Shastri can look back at his tenure with pride and satisfaction – WV Raman
Former Indian cricketer WV Raman has lauded Ravi Shastri and other members of the support staff for what they have achieved with the Indian team. Ravi Shastri’s tenure as Team India’s head coach will finish after tomorrow’s match against Namibia in the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup. Shastri would have liked to win an ICC tournament with the Men in Blue as a coach but the team failed to qualify for the semi-finals after a below-par performance.
Taking to Twitter, WV Raman wrote – “It is perhaps not the kind of end you guys would have preferred, [email protected]#BharatArun &@coach_rsridhar can look back at your tenure with pride and lot of satisfaction. Well done to all of you. Good luck in your future endeavours,” he wrote.

While the head coach of the team was successful in the bilateral series, he failed in three ICC events – 50 over World Cup in 2019 (semi-finalist), World Test Championship ( runners-up) and T20 World Cup (Super 12 Stage). India won two back to back Test series in Australia, which will go down as the biggest achievement of his tenure.
