Rahul Gandhi slams fans for abusing Mohammed Shami after defeat against Pakistan
Indian National Congress (INC) leader and Member of Parliament, Rahul Gandhi, has come out in support of Mohammed Shami, who was abused online after the Men in Blue’s defeat against Pakistan.
Taking to Twitter, he said those targeting the fast bowlers are filled with hatred. “Mohammad #Shami we are all with you. These people are filled with hate because nobody gives them any love. Forgive them,” tweeted Rahul Gandhi.

Earlier, India were defeated by Pakistan in their first match of the ICC T20 World Cup in Dubai. The Men in Green led by Babar Azam won the game by 10 wickets. Apart from the skipper’s 68 not out, Mohammad Rizwan (79 not out) and Shaheen Afridi (3 wickets) played an important role in the maiden victory of their nation in the history of the ICC events.
