Team India defeated New Zealand by 372 runs at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. After India’s superb performance, Rahul Dravid lauded the young players. However, he also warned the senior pros of the team.
According to him, the time has come to take tough calls regarding players selection.
“I know selection headache would increase, and we will have to take tough calls. However, I always believe in communicating to the players about the selection process,” he said.
The likes of Shreyas Iyer and Akshar Patel performed exceptionally in a two-match series. With Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant, Mohammed Shami, and Jasprit Bumrah expected to return for a tour of South Africa; the team management would have the challenging task of picking 11 players.
Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane are already under the scanner due to their ordinary performance.
