PCB’s High Performance general manager Asser Malik marries Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai

Pakistan human rights activist and Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai has tied the knots with Asser Malik, the high-performance general manager in the Pakistan Cricket Board.

He is associated with the governing body of Pakistan cricket since May 2020. Malik has also worked with the Multan Sultans, the champions of the Pakistan Super League in 2021. Malik, who has a Bachelor’s degree in economics and political science from the Lahore University of Management Sciences, is also the owner of Last Man Stands, an amateur league franchise in Pakistan.

Malala and Malik were seen cheering for Pakistan at the Edgbaston Cricket Ground in Birmingham in 2019. Malala uploaded a few pictures with Malik on social media to inform her fans about the big day. “Today marks a precious day in my life. Asser and I tied the knot to be partners for life. We celebrated a small nikkah ceremony at home in Birmingham with our families. Please send us your prayers. We are excited to walk together for the journey ahead.”

Malala stays in the United Kingdom since recovering from a fatal gunshot by a Taliban terrorist in 2012.
