Virat Kohli led India to the first win of the global event against Afghanistan. The Men in Blue have been found wanting in the tournament with two back to back defeats against Pakistan and New Zealand. However, after the latest win over the Mohammad Nabi-led team, India are expected to win the remaining matches of the World Cup in the UAE.
Even if India manage to defeat Scotland and Namibia, the team is not guaranteed a semi-final berth as a lot will depend on the results of other clashes.
Virat Kohli will step down from the T20I captaincy after the T20 World Cup and he is expected to be replaced by Rohit Sharma.
