Old Yuzi is back – Yuzvendra Chahal is confident of taking wickets in UAE

India and Royal Challengers Bangalore leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal is keen to perform well in the remaining matches of the Indian Premier League 2021. Chahal, who was not included in the T20 World Cup squad, backed himself and stated that old Chahal is back.

RCB are placed third in the points table, with 10 points from seven matches. The league was postponed after the emergence of COVID-19 cases and now with the second leg starting in the UAE, Chahal is confident about RCB continuing their winning run.

“Obviously, the feeling was good. The heat was okay, I am happy with the way I bowled. I am pumped up, we are in a good position in the points table and we have a very good chance to stay at the top of the table. When you bowl well in the nets, you always feel good. I can say that the old Yuzi is back,” said Chahal in a video posted on the official YouTube channel of RCB.

RCB will resume their campaign against Kolkata Knight Riders on September 20. They have signed Wanindu Hasaranga, Dushmanatha Chameera and Tim David as replacements. Adam Zampa, Kane Richardson and Daniel Sams have pulled out of the remainder of the tournament.
