Not Virat Kohli or Rohit Sharma, Aakash Chopra names India’s number one T20 batsman

Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are the finest T20 batters in international cricket. The two have won several matches for the Men in Blue and continue to dominate the shortest format of the game. However, Aakash Chopra feels KL Rahul is ahead of them and he even named him as India’s number one T20 batsman after his heroics in the warm-up game against England.

The right-handed batter scored a well-compiled fifty and played a key role in India’s victory. He accumulated more than 600 runs for Punjab Kings in IPL 2021. Although his team failed to reach playoffs once again but his batting display was the highlight of the 14th edition. He has been in sublime form in the last two years and Aakash is a big fan of the player.

India will take on Pakistan in their opening match of the T20 World Cup in Dubai. The game is scheduled to be played on October 24. Rahul will open the innings with Rohit.
