Morgan had right to nail him- Warne slams Ashwin for his spat with KKR skipper

Tempers flared between Eoin Morgan and R Ashwin during the Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders match on Tuesday. Even Tim Southee played a part in the verbal slugfest. KKR were not happy with R Ashwin, who stole an extra run off the last ball of the 19th over. The ball had deflected after hitting Pant’s arm and the two batsmen took the run.

In the very next over off the first ball, Tim Southee dismissed Ashwin also said something to R Ashwin. The latter was not impressed and gave it back to the pacer and this is when Eoin Morgan joined the heated conversation. The animated Ravi Ashwin started walking towards the KKR captain but was stopped by Dinesh Karthik. Meanwhile, former Australia cricketer Shane Warne feels Morgan has full right to take on R Ashwin as they shouldn’t have taken an extra run.

“The world shouldn’t be divided on this topic and Ashwin. It’s pretty simple – it’s disgraceful & should never happen. Why does Ashwin have to be that guy again? I think @Eoin16 had every right to nail him !!!!” Warne wrote in his tweet.

In the second innings, Ashwin dismissed Morgan and gave him a fiery send-off.
