LPL 2021 – Security beefed up for Pakistan players after the lynching of a Sri Lankan man in Sialkot

A Sri Lanka citizen was lynched in Sialkot, which has triggered anger in the home country. As a result, the Sri Lankan Cricket Board (SLC) has increased the security of the Pakistan players who are participating in the Lankan Premier League.

Mohammad Hafeez, Wahab Riaz, Shoaib Malik, Muhammad Umar, Sohaib Maqsood, Usman Shinwari, Ahmed Shahzad, Anwar Ali, and Mohammad Irfan are the Pakistan players who are associated with different franchises. The Lankan Premier League started on December 5.
