Jos Buttler and his wife blessed with a baby girl
England wicket-keeper batter Jos Buttler became a father for the second time after his better-half Louise gave birth to a baby girl on September 5, 2021. Earlier, he opted out of the fourth Test between England and India to be with his wife. His IPL franchise, Rajasthan Royals, took to Twitter to share the news with fans. The couple has decided to name their child ‘Maggie’.

They were blessed with their first daughter, Georgia, in 2019. In order to be with his extended family, Jos Buttler has decided to skip the UAE leg of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Earlier, the Rajasthan Royals confirmed the development.
“Jos Buttler will not be part of the remainder of #IPL2021, as he and Louise are expecting a second child soon,” Rajasthan Royals wrote on Twitter. “We wish them well, and can’t wait for the newest member of the #RoyalsFamily.”

His absence is a huge blow for the franchise as he was the second-highest run-scorer for the Royals in the first leg. In 7 games, he scored 254 runs at an average of 36.28 and a strike rate of 153. Buttler also hit a brilliant ton, before the tournament was postponed due to COVID-19 cases within the franchises.
The Rajasthan Royals have signed West Indies cricketers Evin Lewis and Oshane Thomas as replacements for Jos Buttler and Ben Stokes.
