It will be good for cricket if India-Pakistan play in final of ICC T20 World Cup – Shoaib

Shoaib Akhtar wants to see India-Pakistan playing in the finale of the ICC T20 World Cup 2021. After his earlier statement on the prospect of a mega final between the two arch-rivals, he has repeated his stance after India thumped Scotland in just 6.3 overs.

After losing to Pakistan and New Zealand, the Men in Blue have won two consecutive matches by a big margin.

“I really think this tournament has headed to an interesting phase. India coming back has made the tournament come back alive. There is a chance now that India will play Pakistan again. We have to wait and see. It will be good for cricket and good for the youngsters if that happens,” Akhtar said.

“If India gets knocked out, it will be quite demoralising. They have played good cricket but they have played it late.”
