Irfan once again sets example, helps groundsmen & workers of Ranji teams
When it comes to setting a perfect example of humility, there is no one as good as Irfan Pathan. He along with his brother, Yusuf Pathan, has helped the common man to deal with financial difficulties in coronavirus times. In the latest case, the former India all-rounder has helped groundsmen and workers of the Indian states amid the ongoing problems. The second wave of the COVID-19 has impacted cricket in India.
The Ranji Trophy was called off for the first time in 87 years and even the IPL was suspended midway in India. Although, the remaining are being played in the UAE but it has hampered the groundsmen and staff members of various Indian stadiums.
When Irfan Pathan heard about the same, he decided to help them by giving money to groundsmen of various states. Meanwhile, the BCCI has decided to resume domestic cricket in India. The Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (T20), Vijay Hazare Trophy (One Day) and the Ranji Trophy will be played.
Irfan is currently busy in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League. He is a part of the commentary panel and is one of the most followed voices in the world of cricket.
