IPL 2021: Ravindra Jadeja dedicates the Player of the Match award to daughter Nidhyana
Chennai Super Kings all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja dedicated his Player of the Match award to daughter Nidhyana on the occasion of Daughters Day. He was the main hero in CSK’s two-wicket victory over Kolkata Knight Riders at Abu Dhabi’s Sheikh Zayed Stadium. The left-handed batsman scored 22 runs off 8 balls with the help of two sixes and as many fours.
Chasing 172 runs to win, CSK were in control but a flurry of wickets in the last few overs brought KKR back into the contest. Jadeja, who earlier took one wicket and conceded just 21 runs from his four overs, slammed Prasidh Krishna for 6,6,4,4 to leave his team needing 4 off the last over.
However, it was not over as Sunil Narine dismissed Jadeja in the final over and it was Deepak Chahar who scored the winning run off the last over to lead CSK to win. Speaking about his performance post-match, Jadeja, dedicated his Man of the Award to his daughter.
