IPL 2021 – Nitish Rana’s pull shot breaks camera lens – Watch
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by six wickets to keep their playoffs hopes alive. The Kolkata based franchise restricted SRH to just 115.
Chasing a small total to win, Shubman Gill’s 57 runs helped KKR to finish off the game with two balls to spare. Apart from the young Indian opener, Nitish Rana scored 25 runs.
During his stay at the crease, the left-handed batsman hit three boundaries and looked in sublime touch before Jason Holder dismissed him.
Before his departure, he broke the lens of a camera. The incident happened in the 17th overs of the KKR innings. Jason Holder bowled a short ball and the southpaw was quick to react and pulled it for a boundary.
The ball bounced before crossing the boundary rope and smashed it onto a camera lens.
Rashid Khan tried his best to stop the boundary but could not prevent the ball from hitting the camera lens.
The leg-spinner was bemused by the ball smashing the lens of the camera.
