Inzamam-ul-Haq discharged from hospital after angioplasty
The prayers and wishes of Inzamam-ul-Haq were answered as the veteran of international cricket was discharged from the hospital after successful angioplasty. He had been complaining about chest pain and suffered a heart attack in Lahore.
Inzamam, who was instrumental in taking Pakistan to the 1992 World Cup triumph, was in stable condition. His fans, former and current cricketers were relieved after knowing his angioplasty was successful. Inzy was known for his impressive batting in Test matches and one-day internationals.
He is Pakistan’s leading run-scorer in ODIs with 11701 runs in 375 matches. The right-handed batsman scored 8829 runs in 119 Tests. He served as the chief selector in the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) from 2016 to 2019.
