India need a miracle to qualify for the semi-finals – Shahid Afridi

India have been ordinary in the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup in the UAE. After losing to Pakistan by 10 wickets, a better performance was expected from the Indian players. But the situation became even worse as the Men in Blue scored just 110 from the allotted 20 overs.

The scorecard was never going to be enough to stop the Kiwis and it proved to be exactly the same. Barring Jasprit Bumrah, all the bowlers struggled to take wickets and the team led by Virat Kohli had to suffer another defeat, this time by 8 wickets.

Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul and Virat Kohli had all the time to put up a competitive total on the scoreboard but the star players lost their wickets cheaply. Shahid Afridi, the former Pakistan skipper, took to Twitter to give his opinion on India’s performance.

“India still have an outside chance of qualifying for semis but with how they have played their two big games in the event, it will be nothing but a miracle to see them qualify,” he wrote.
