Imam-ul-Haq reveals why Pakistan are always under pressure while playing against India
India have always defeated Pakistan in the World Cup. The two arch-rivals will once again clash in the upcoming edition of the T20 World Cup. The match will take place on 24th October 2021 in Dubai.
Ahead of the series against New Zealand, Pakistan opener Imam-ul-Haq has stated that Men in Green are always under pressure while facing India. According to him, Pakistan don’t play bilateral series against Virat Kohli and his men.
He further added that young Pakistan players feel pressure when they play against India, whereas India have a lot of experienced players who can handle pressure.
“I think the biggest factor is that we don’t play bilateral series against India. The match between India and Pakistan is always a big match as we either play them in a World Cup knockout or in the group stage. That pressure becomes difficult for our young players to handle. Meanwhile, India have more experienced players in their team and they know how to cope up with the pressure,” said Imam-ul-Haq to Samaa TV.
Imam admitted that the upcoming match against India in the T20 World Cup will be a tough one for his national side.
“Apart from this, there is no other reason to say that the Indian team is better than the Pakistani team. As a Pakistani, I would never want Pakistan to lose InshaAllah we will beat them but realistically, it would be a very tough game,” concluded Imam-ul-Haq.
