ICC T20 World Cup – Babar and Rizwan lead Pakistan to maiden win against India

Pakistan finally won the game against India in the ICC T20 World Cup. After losing five matches, the Babar Azam-led team won the game by 10 wickets. Chasing 152 runs to win, Pakistan never looked in trouble.

The opening pair of Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan scored valuable fifties to hand India their first defeat against arch-rivals in an ICC event. Apart from the T20 format, Pakistan have never thumped the opponents in the fifty-over World Cup, having lost seven matches.

While Babar scored 68 not out, Rizwan was unbeaten on 79. Earlier, Shaheen Afridi rocked India early in the innings. The pacer dismissed Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul in his first two overs. Virat Kohli scored 57 runs for the Men in Blue but his innings was not enough to take India to another win over the rivals.
