I stand by Mohammed Shami – Yuvraj Singh proud of fast bowler’s achievements for India
Yuvraj Singh has come out in support of Mohammed Shami, who was abused online after India’s defeat against Pakistan. The two-time World Cup winner said he will stand by the pacer and the team and urged the skipper Virat Kohli’s men to fight hard in the remaining matches of the ICC T20 World Cup.
Shami had conceded 44 runs in 3.5 overs and his Instagram timeline was filled with nasty comments. However, fans, current and former cricketers backed Shami and slammed those who targeted him.
“We all have tough days on the field but one bad day cannot define you as a sportsman! Proud of all that you have achieved for the country! I stand by @MdShami11 and team India. Keep working hard boys and never give up no matter what!” Yuvraj said in a Tweet.
Shami has been one of the best bowlers in recent times, and he will play a key role in India’s next match against New Zealand.
