I am looking for a fresh start and will put my name in IPL mega auction – David Warner
Former Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper David Warner has confirmed that he has left the franchise. The left-handed batter is looking for a fresh start and will give his name in the upcoming IPL mega auction. With two new franchises entering the competition, David Warner is bound to get a big amount considering his exceptional track record in the cash-rich league.
The last edition of the league was not a good one for the player. He was sacked from his captaincy post by the Hyderabad based franchise and then he was dropped from the playing XI in IPL 2021.
He led the franchise to its maiden IPL title in 2016. Warner holds many records in the competition and his presence will give an edge to any team in the tournament.
He has played 150 matches in the Indian Premier League, accumulating 5449 runs at an average of 41.59. The Aussie player has hit 4 hundreds and 50 fifties in the best league of the shortest format. He is currently playing for Australia in the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup 2021.
