I am devastated as you took care of me like your son – Tarak’s death leaves Pant in shock
Rishabh Pant was turned into a polished diamond by Tarak Sinha who lost his battle with lung cancer. The veteran coach passed away aged 71. Pant, the Indian wicket-keeper batter, owes his international career to the departed soul, who tirelessly worked on his skills.
The young player, who is with Team India for the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup, was left in shock when he heard about the demise of his childhood coach.
The left-handed batter took two Twitter to pay tribute to a father-like figure Tarak.
“My mentor, coach, motivator, my biggest critic and my greatest fan. You took care of me like your son, I am devastated. Broken heart You will always be with me whenever I walk out onto the field. My heartfelt condolences & prayers. May your soul rest in peace, Tarak sir,” he wrote.

Apart from him, Virender Sehwag also paid condolences to his loved ones.
“Feel a lot of pain on the demise of passing away of Ustaad Ji #TarakSinha.
He was one of the rare coaches who gave India more than a dozen Test Cricketers & the values he inculcated in his students helped Indian cricket immensely. Condolences to his family and students. Om Shanti,” he wrote.
