Good or Average -Gambhir rates Rohit Sharma’s captaincy in T20I series against New Zealand
Rohit Sharma won the first T20I series as Team India’s full-time captain. India thumped New Zealand by a margin of 3-0. Rating his captaincy, former India cricketer Gautam Gambhir lauded the new skipper of the national team.
Gambhir was particularly impressed with the way Rohit made his bowling changes in the third and final match of the series.
“Very excellent leadership from Rohit Sharma. The introduction of Axar Patel for the third over and bringing on Yuzvendra Chahal on the 4th over. These are minor, tiny things that you could be unable to spot. However, this is what being a captain is all about: always being at the forefront of the game, and he was rewarded with the result.
“He has had five titles attained in the IPL, and now he has begun this series with a perfect sweep. This is exactly what captaincy is all about during T20I cricket.” Gambhir added.
