Gautam Gambhir slams Eoin Morgan and management for using codes during matches
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) won two titles under the captaincy of Gautam Gambhir. However, the team has failed to get going since he left the team. Even in the ongoing season, the two-time champions have failed to impress.
After winning two consecutive games in the UAE leg, they were defeated by Chennai Super Kings. KKR have also gained the limelight for using codes during matches. Skipper Eoin Morgan has been spotted receiving codes from team analyst Nathan Leamon. This strategy hasn’t gone down well with Gambhir.
Gambhir stated he would have left KKR captaincy had this policy been used during his time with the franchise. He was answering Aakash Chopra’s question who wanted to know his opinion on the tactics.
KKR appointed the England cricket team’s analyst Nathan Leamon alongside the likes of AR Srikkanth to strengthen the support staff.
Meanwhile, KKR scored 171/6 against CSK in their allotted 20 overs. Chasing 172 runs to win, the three-time champions won the game by two wickets in the end.
