England have won four consecutive matches in the ongoing T20 World and have qualified for the semi-finals. They restricted Sri Lanka to 137 runs and won the match by 26 runs. Chasing 164 runs to win, Sri Lanka gave a tough fight to the rivals in the middle over but England bowled and fielded exceptionally well to keep the winning momentum going.
Former India player Irfan Pathan took to Twitter to praise the Eoin Morgan team. “Ball was getting wet with the dew, lost one bowler with an injury. England still winning the game. Team to beat in this World Cup,” he wrote.

Earlier, Sri Lanka won the toss and asked England to bat first. The team lost three wickets early in the innings but a well compiled 101 not out by Jos Buttler took his team to a competitive total. England managed 163 for 4 in 20 overs. Eoin Morgan, the skipper, accumulated 40 runs for the team.
