Dinesh hits back at critics, says it’s shocking to see people predicting end of India’s chances after just one defeat

Some of the former cricketers and fans have already declared the end of India’s hopes for the berth in the semis after just one match in the ICC T20 World Cup. India were defeated by Pakistan in the campaign opener and the Men in Blue and are due to play New Zealand on October 31.

By no means India are out of the semi-finals race but surprisingly people have already picked the four semi-finalists or the two finalists.

Dinesh Karthik took a dig at those, who are counting India out of the knockout stage of the tournament.

“It’s amazing and equally perplexing to see TEAM INDIA not being counted in many people’s thoughts in moving forward in this tournament so far after just one match in one week. This WEEK is the ultimate week and if India gets on a roll, nothing to stop them. MOMENTUM is key,” he wrote.

Meanwhile, Pakistan and England are the only teams who have won three consecutive matches in the global event and are currently leading the points table.
