Dhoni will be 60-year old when IPL 2021 ends – Sehwag fears cancellation of UAE leg
The UAE leg of the IPL has been marred by COVID-19 as T Natarajan tested positive for the virus. It could be the start of cancelling another leg of the league. Former India player Virender Sehwag has spoken about the matter.
According to him, MS Dhoni and other CSK players would be 60-year old when the next session of IPL gets complete.
“Yesterday was the match between Delhi and Hyderabad in Dubai. Before the match news came from Hyderabad’s team that Nattu (T Natarajan) is COVID positive. The league should not be postponed again, there was concern about it,” said Sehwag on his Facebook Watch show Virugiri.
“The concern was that if the tournament continues to start and get cancelled like this so by the time final comes, the players of Chennai will become eligible to buy half tickets in the train at 60 years,” he added.
Meanwhile, CSK started the UAE leg with a bang. The MS Dhoni-led team defeated the defending champions, Mumbai Indians, by 20 runs. They are second in the points table.
