Chahar was right to propose girlfriend before playoffs – Fans troll CSK pacer for ordinary bowling
Deepak Chahar has failed to impress in the last few games for his IPL franchise, Chennai Super Kings (CSK). The pacer, who conceded 48 runs from his four overs in the last league match, got engaged after the end of proceedings against Punjab Kings.
He went down on his knees to propose to his girlfriend, Jaya Bhardwaj and the lady love of the pacer said yes. His engagement was targeted by fans in the ongoing Qualifier 1 between Chennai Super Kings and Delhi. Deepak was once again hit to all parts of the ground by rivals and ended up conceding 26 runs from three overs.
MS Dhoni, the skipper of the franchise, didn’t bowl him out considering his costly spell in the important clash against the Rishabh Pant-led team. Delhi Capitals scored 172/5 from the allotted 20 overs.
Prithvi Shaw (60), Rishabh Pant (51 not-out) and Shimron Hetmyer (37) contributed to DC’s score. For CSK, Josh Hazlewood took two wickets, while Ravindra Jadeja, Moeen Ali and Dwayne Bravo dismissed one batsman each.
