Businessman to give a blank cheque to Ramiz Raja if Pakistan beat India in T20 World Cup

India and Pakistan will face each other in the upcoming T20 World Cup on October 24 in Dubai. The two arch-rivals no more play in bilateral matches and they only come face to face in the ICC events and in the Asia Cup.

Pakistan have never defeated India in the World Cups. The Men in Blue have won all 12 matches in the past. Meanwhile, PCB Chairman Ramiz Raja has confirmed that an investor will hand him over a blank cheque if the Men in Green beat India in the upcoming T2O World Cup in the UAE.

“One strong investor told me that a blank cheque is ready for the PCB if Pakistan beats India in the upcoming T20 World Cup,” Ramiz said in a meeting with the Senate Standing Committee on Inter-Provincial Coordination (IPC) according to Cricket Pakistan.

Ramiz Raja is working hard to make Pakistan cricket strong financially. According to him, New Zealand and England wouldn’t have cancelled their tours if Pakistan were financially strong. “PCB runs 50 per cent on the funding of ICC. 90 per cent of funding to ICC comes from India. I’m afraid that if India stopped funding ICC, then PCB might collapse because PCB gives zero per cent funding to ICC.

I’m determined to make Pakistan cricket strong. If our cricket economy is strong, we won’t be used and then binned by teams like England and New Zealand. Best cricket team and best cricket economy are two big challenges,” Ramiz further added.
