Bumrah becomes the first India player to take wickets in the men’s T20 WC since Virat Kohli

India have been pretty ordinary in the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup. They have failed in all the departments of the game. If the first match against Pakistan was a humiliation, the ongoing match between the Men in Blue and the Kiwis have left everyone disappointed.

If the batting has failed to get going, bowlers too have missed the line. Pakistan won the match by 10 wickets, while New Zealand have lost just two wickets at the time of writing. Jasprit Bumrah got rid of Kiwi openers Martin Guptill and Daryl Mitchell. He is the first bowler to take wickets in the men’s T20 World Cup since Virat Kohli.

Virat took the wicket of Johnson Charles in the 2016 T20 World Cup against West Indies. The team led by Daren Sammy won the semi-final clash by 7 wickets.
