Bring back Chahal in place of Chahar – Fans demand inclusion of Yuzi in T20 WC squad
It seems Yuzvendra Chahal is giving a befitting reply to Indian selectors, who recently didn’t pick him in the T20 World Cup squad. The reason given by Chief Selectors, Chetan Sharma, was even more baffling. According to him, they needed a spinner who could bowl quick and hence Rahul Chahar was preferred over him.
Meanwhile, Chahal has been a revelation since landing in the UAE for the second leg of the Indian Premier League. In the match against Punjab Kings, he dismissed three batsmen. Mayank Agarwal, Nicholas Pooran and Sarfaraz Khan were undone by the leg-spinner. He has taken 10 wickets in the last five IPL games. Overall, he has added 14 wickets in 12 wickets in the 14th edition of the league.
He has bowled unplayable deliveries in the ongoing season of the cash-rich league. Fans lauded Yuzi for his performance and demanded his inclusion in the T20 World Cup. The rules allow the teams to modify the squads till October 10.
