Big setback for KKR as star pacer refuses to play IPL in UAE
While the players from England, Australia, New Zealand and Bangladesh will be available for the UAE leg of the Indian Premier League, Australia and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) pacer Pat Cummins is likely to miss the remaining matches.
The pacer hasn’t made an official call but admitted it will be tough for him to go to UAE and play in the league.
“Unfortunately, at this stage, I probably won’t be going to the IPL. I haven’t made an official call on it. But my partner is pregnant and our baby is due in the middle of the IPL. At the moment, there is a travel restriction to get back to Australia, you got to do 2 weeks quarantine,” the Australian fast bowler said on his YouTube channel.
Earlier, Eoin Morgan, the skipper of the Kolkata based franchise confirmed his participation in the cash-rich league. He will be hoping to lead his franchise to better results in the remaining games of the season.
